airbag light came on ????
not really sure why, i was just driving down the highway today and randomly my airbag light came on .... anyone have any ideas what may have caused it ?? i even stopped, turned the car off, then back on and the light is still on

I read the same tip about the seat, but I thought it was the driver seat? Anyway I was under warranty and told the dealer about it. They apparently replaced an airbag sensor as a result.
When my light came on, I pulled over, shut off the engine, turned it back on and started driving, then the light never came back (even before telling the dealer I had seen it).

I drove in a way that scared my wife (as usual) but the problem is that her reaction was to stiffen up with her feet pressed firmly on the passenger floorboard lifting her but momentarily off the seat and the airbag light lit up for a second. What scares me is if she has the same reaction to a possible accident she wont have airbag protection when needed the most!

First thing to check is the connectors under the seat...especially if you move the seat forward and back alot.
