Default New C6 Owner with Navigation Question

I just purchased my first Corvette and love it. Its a 2008 Z06 2LZ with navigation. I notice I did not receive and navigation manuals with the car. In the glove box there was the CD case but with only one CD in it. The car has the 6 pack CD in it. Does the navigation need to have the navigation CD in the player to work? I am also not picking up any Canada locations for the navigation? Any tips or advice for using the nav?

Th DVD disc may be in the deck. You have to reset it for an area outside a region. Look for a "change region" button or something.

I believe Canda is covered on both the east and west disk. Normally you should have both DVDs with the car. If you press button on the bottom center of the Nav unit you will see two disk slots. One is labeled CD the other is DVD. I would bet one of the DVDs is already in your unit.

There is an excellent writeup on this site on how to use the Nav system, but I don't know how to link threads on this forum yet. Just do a search for Nav tutorial or something like that and it should show up.

But, I think the region setting is in nav menu area. You should see a button labeled region after you get into the proper menu.

Also, the Navigation users manual is available at
http://www.chevrolet.com/owners/chevy-manuals/

It will explain quite a few things. The GM nav system is not really intuitive, so reading the manual or looking at the tutorial is a must.

Here is the "very detailed" thread on how to use the factory Nav from the C6 General FAQ's section:
