I have a 2006 c6 aotomatic car and went to the track and only ran a 13.1 @ 106 car seems to be pulling fairly hard just wondering if I could be experiencing a tranny slip that I cant feel or just what the deal is.I have always heard these cars ran in teens somewhere. Just bought the car used it has 30000 miles and like I said there seems to be no problem with motor feels very torquey.

the track is in baytown or houston Texas . I no longer have the time slip this was several months ago . youll have to excuse me im new to the forum and dont know what Da stands for
im sure thats about right for the car because it was probably hot, when its warm outside and the engine gets hot then it starts pullin timing slowing you down. my car when i 1st got it ran 12.8/9 @110 in the summer heat but if i hot lapped it and got the car hot then my mph started to drop off down to 106 after about 3 hot laps.
your car should be able to run in the mid to low 12s with cool air with decent traction.
The stock timing table pulls 3* of advance at 86*. If you sit in the staging lanes with the engine idling or even off, hood down the IAT will go up real quickly pullng even more timing. Just a short time idling in 80* ambient my IAT rose to 118* at launch. Big loss of power. I was down 8 mph on that pass from a pass I made in cooler air.
Even on my 11.22@125.83mph pass with 43* ambient my IAT was up to 84* at launch. Kept the hood open as long as I could, which really helps, but still rose that high.
