Default Daily Driver LS3 Cam

I just had a cam installed in my 2009 LS3 M6 coupe. Shelby American Motorsports (part of the Carroll Shelby organization) in Las Vegas did the install. Requirements for the cam were: great street manners, quiet valve train, Comp Cams 918 valve springs, slight lope and a nice increase in power. Gil, the expert shop boss, provided me with the following Comp Cams ground cam: 224 (XFI) .610 intake, 230 (XE High Lift) .572 exhaust on a 113 LSA. Stock with a Dynojet tune resulted in 393 HP and 390 TQ. After installing the cam and a complete Z06 exhaust system with another tune (same Dyno) resulted in an increase to 440 HP and 412 TQ. The car has great street manners for daily driving to work on the streets of Vegas. Plus the increase in power is very noticeable. Great service with very knowledgable technicians at Shelby American Motorsports.

Do you have intake or headers?

Default LS3 cam

Stock intake. No headers, just the complete LS7 Z06 exhaust system from the manifolds to the mufflers. Just guessing, I figure the exhaust is probably worth 10 to 15 HP and the rest goes to the cam.

Treat yourself to an intake or pop the shroud for some more cold air and port your intake manifold and you'll be even happier...enjoy!

Supporting vendors pay for the considerable bandwidth charges on the Forum, making it free for the rest of us. In exchange, they get the privilege of using the Forum to market and promote their goods and services. Historically, we allow them to post in the generation sections and the regional sections to market and promote their products/services.

Forum members are welcome to sell a Corvette or Corvette parts they purchased for their own personal use. Anything else is considered to be a commercial sale. Please check the sales rules regarding eBay sales and links:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/foru...eir-parts.html

Members are not prohibited from mentioning it when they have a good (or bad, for that matter) experience with a non-supporting vendor. But such mentions cannot be so specific (address, phone number, e-mail address, URL, price, part number, offer to send contact information via PMs, etc.) or so frequent that they become marketing and promotional references.

Only supporting vendors can post Group Purchase threads. Only supporting vendors are permitted to post threads to gauge interest in a product.

Members can include a mention of their personal businesses in their signatures so long as the enterprise does not compete with an existing supporting vendor, is not Corvette-related and is not so detailed or so frequently appended to their posts that it becomes inappropriate marketing and promotion.
