removing the panel below the steering column
i tried to remove the two screws holding this panel in place the other day so I could force my ignition switch back into place. Problem is: the screws don't come out.....they just turn and turn and turn without extracting.
could someone give me some advice as to what to do with this?

Insert a flat piece of plastic behind the panel between the panel and its dash mount.
Apply pressure to separate the two planes as you remove the screw.
Reads like the screw's mounting clip is stripped.
Those clips are easily replaceable and inexpensive.
