Remove 2008 Z06 battery

Anyone have an easy way to remove a battery from my 2008 Z06.I have the negative clamp off,but can't get the positivelkug off!I do not want to force it, and, am hesitant about putting a battery charger on the battery while it is still in the car.Also ,I see the vent hose which came off easily.Does this mean that I can no longer get a Costco batter,and now have to go to GM?Thanks,BK

Sure, remove both clamps, use visegrips on the posts and yank straight up. It'll come out.

You can use a CostCo battery. (I think it's "size 13.")

Let's break this down; Why won't the positive lead come off? Charger on the battery while in the car is not a problem, just put the vent tube back on.
