HUD Install questions

Just finished mounting and wiring HUD. Attemped to test installation prior to reassembly of dash and there is no display.

Made sure wire splices were correct as well as connectors for the HUD, HUD controller, Instrument cluster (2 connectors), Start switch, and right side switch pod were connected.

Started car and tried to adjust dimmer to full bright no joy.

Am I being dense and missing something? All ideas welcome. I do not want to remove the lamp assy if not needed

I had the same thing on my C5, it ended up being the position (I.E. up, down switch) It was off the charts down, once I used the up button it can into view.
