C5 vs. C6 Trans Electrical Switches

C5 vs. C6 Trans Electrical Switches
The C6 Transmission has two switches on the side wereas the C5 has one. On the C5 it is the back up lamp switch, I have no idea what the extra is for on the C6-
Anyone know what this is for?

Just spoke with the guys at RPM Transmissions. They said it's like a "double redundancy" deal that was only on the 2005s. One harness connector handles reverse lights, the other reverse lock-out.
They also said the reverse lock-out input is the one that has the 2005 only feature where the car must be in reverse to shutdown.
Does anyone know if you can program that feature out of the PCM? It's only a 2005 feature.
