ok since I turned off the rear 02's becuase of headers and them popping codes. Can I put a wide band in one and be fine or should I put it further down stream?
I have my wideband in my rear sensor position and I have hf cats. I understand it is therefore reading a few basis points leaner which is ok with me as I like to run a little rich.
Wide band behind the cat is not as accurate as a wide band before the cat. The catalytic convertor modifies the exhaust output. Behind the cat works the same as a tailpipe sniffer. A tuner told me that the tailpipe sniffer could vary from a before the cat wideband by as much as 0.30 AFR.
I'm not going to use it for tuning as I have no clue what to change to keep from messing anything up. I will be putting it in there to look at the afr while I'm spraying nitrous to keep an eye on thing mostly but if it reads a little high that's cool with me. just wanted to make sure it won't mess anything up by putting it there

Then what's the point.....
Watching what it's doing on nitrous, after the fact, is usless. By the time it tells you that the motor was lean, you'll already know it because the motor will be scattered on the track. 50 good runs, 1 bad run, bye bye motor. Get some fuel pressure and nitrous pressure gauges and you'll know before hand rather that after the big boom
If you're buying a pre packaged kit and installed correctly you shouldn't have a problem...... unless you go too big
