Diff Fluid and Tranny Fluid Change!!
I asked a few places everybody had given different opinions..
I bought some royal purple with limited slip additive already in it.. But somebody recommended use more additive would be smart sometimes its not enough..
For the tranny i was going to go with Synthetic ATF from Mobile 1..
Somebody also recommended AMSOIL..
What should i use for what?
Please advice what would be the best way to go on it..
Thanks

I use RedLine and if you get to Milwaukee, you can drive my car and see the difference it made in the way it shifts.
But like said, lots of brands, lots of opinions.
Synthetic Multi-Vehicle Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATFQT)
SEVERE GEAR 75W-90 Synthetic EP Lubricant (SVGQT)
Talk to 'Subdriver' and he can set you up.

These are the fluids AMSOIL recommends for your C6 manual and diff (which are the exact same fluids I use in my C5 Z06 track day car):
Tranny: AMSOIL Torque-Drive Synthetic Transmission Fluid (Product Code ATD1G) (Dexron III labeled fluid)
Diff: AMSOIL Severe Gear Extreme Pressure Synthetic 75w90 (Product Code SVGQT)
AMSOIL Slip-Lock Differential Additive (Product Code ADATB)
Note: The Severe Gear 75w90 comes with friction modifier already in it and adding extra is not normally needed for the C5, but the C6 diff seems to need extra modifier, thus I recommend a tube of the Slip Lock for the C6.
And for the DIYer:
AMSOIL Hand Pump (Product Code G2039)

P.S. For the drag strip, I'd think you really want less additive not more. The additive allows the diff clutch plates to slide smoothly across each other to prevent diff chatter when the two wheels are spinning at different rates, such as in a sharp turn (e.g. driveway, parking lot, etc). But, it also lowers the torque passed to the tire without grip (inside rear unloaded tire in my case at a road track, and in the case of the drag strip, whichever side of the track doesn't have as much grip as the other) - thus your limited slip diff becomes less limited slip. If your car is only a track car, I'd consider not using any modifier. If it is a dual use track/street car, I'd probably add only an ounce or two of the Slip Lock and see it you have diff chatter. FYI, for the C5, the limited slip diff is supposed to pass 75 ft-lb of torque to the tire with grip. I check this in mine by putting the car in neutral, lifting one rear wheel, and with the front tires blocked, put a torque wrench on the axle nut and see what torque I can get before the wheel spins. Should be at least 75 ft-lbs. Lower than that and I'm losing performance out of slow speed corners and thus need a diff rebuild (new clutch plates).

Very happy AMSOIL "Preferred Customer Program" user myself. AMSOIL used in all 3 vettes plus the CTS Wagon in my care.
