Default cam gurus please help

so i have an 07 Ls2 car im in the middle of doing a cam swap on it and i pulled the front of the motor off and find a LS3 cam setup in it, it has the one bolt cam, sprocket, tentioner and cam plate from an ls3. i have a MS4 cam that i bought for a LS2 that has the three bolt setup. my question is should send the cam back and get a new one with the one bolt hole or convert everything to the three bolt style. also how is that going to affect the cam postion sensor? are they all the same from a ls2 and ls3?
also the block has the 6.0L stamped on it and it still has 243 heads, so i guess someone has changed the cam before or somethin or it came from the factory like that.

any suggestions would be alot of help

the 07's ls2's had the 1 bolt cam, your cam provider should have known this, comp has it as a spec on their custom cam page.

you can either get a 3 bolt cam sprocket, or return the cam and get a single bolt.

If you go the single bolt cam, go to a gm dealer and get a new cam bolt (GM PART # 11561283) and it is torqued to 55 ft/lbs +50 degreees.

Yes, 07's have a single cam bolt as mentioned above.

My cam had 3 bolt holes in it, so I just purchased a 2006 3 Bolt Cam Sprocket and put it on. If, I remember correctly the 06 Sprocket was $42.00.

When I bought my cam they didn't have single hole cam sprockets at that time. It was not a big issue with me.

Do you mean the Timing Chain Tensioner and the Front Cover?

If this is what you mean then you will have no issues.

Just ensure TDC before removal. Install new Cam Sprocket and your new Timing Chain, ensuring TDC. Torque Cam Bolts to 28lbs with Red Threadlocker.
