I will be adding a RR Punisher Cam, NW TB, ported LSXR 102 intake with fuel rails and stainless exhaust valves in the next month or so. The setup I picked up came with a set of 60lb injectors. My question is, will the stock fuel system support 550-570 RWHP with a good tune? Will I need a BAP or higher capacity fuel pump with the 60lb injectors? Thanks in advance.
Thanks! Is your setup similar to what I'm planning?
As he is at a higher 1750' altitude, you cant compare fuel requirements with him. His correction factor is about 7-8% and thus lowers the fuel system requirement on his car by that percentage. He also has a forced induction car which gets tuned richer by at least 10%.
Your car is an N/A car and thus runs 10% leaner than FI cars running your projected power. N/A cars run leaner and thus arent as taxing on a fuel pump.
The injectors you choose have no bearing on the fuel pump requirements. A car making 500rwhp wth 40lb injectors has the exact same fuel pump requirement as a 500rwhp car using 60lb injectors. The 60lb'ers will run at a lower duty cycle meaning that they are switched on less often.
An LS2 pump can support 560-570rwhp in an N/A application. An FI car at this power level would run richer and need a boost a pump to maintain rail pressure. If you want an upgrade, the Z06 in tank pump is a drop in replacement and supports 650+rwhp N/A. They are about 340 bucks.
If you dont want to run a different pump, you can add meth injection for an N/A car using 100% meth with cools IATs, raises octane, and extends your fuel system capacity up to about 600rwhp. It does this because you're injecting a fuel into the intake tract. This allows for you to lean out the a/f ratio taking the stress off the in tank pump. Meth injected N/A cars pick up 15-20rwhp over pump gas.

Thanks for the replies gentleman. After I replied to BJK's post, I checked out his sign and saw he was running a blower.
Spinmonster, my car is an LS7, so I can assume by your post that the stock fuel system with the right tune should support my NA fuel requirements.
I've always had blower cars and leaned toward the rule of "lean is mean" when it came to my fuel system. I always made sure I had a fuel system that could support well over my requirements.
