No oil pressure?
I just put a new motor in my vette. Started it up and no oil pressure.I took off the valve cover and it is dry. I just changed the oil pump but have not started the car. The old one which is new looked fine. does anyone know anything else that could cause this cause after looking at the oil pump that I pulled off I dont think that is the problem. Thanks in advace Chris

I believe there is an o-ring that if not replaced very carefully can result in the pump sucking air instead of oil Since you have no oil in the top end, stop what you are doing and start the repair.
