I have been on this forum for about a week trying to get a dual-note exhaust syetem for my 07 automatic transmission c-6. I was looking for a set of z06 axle back exhaust and found several, however while talking to my mechanic today he informed me z06 mufflers will not work on my 07 because i have an automatic transmission (no problem with a standard trans). He says the only thing that will work is a set of NPPs. Is he correct? has anyone installed z06 mufflers on an 07 with an automatic transmission with paddle shifter? Thanks in advance for any ideas, information,or thoughts.
There was a post recently w/ this very topic & the gen. impression was no, they wouldn't fit, but the ultimate answer was yes w/ some minor modification as there where several members who had done it. If you looking for a straight bolt on go w/ NPPs, yes I'm aware they're more expensive & harder to find. If you go w/ Z06, you have to make some mods, but they're not extensive. I'll see if I can find the thread & pass it on.
The orgi. post was by 1Corvette, "Z06 Muffler Question"

I'd advice to let a muffler shop do the installation though, its super tight and you'll need to bend the muffler pipes in order they dont hit the diff. Drivers side muffler was the biggest PITA to install."
It looks like some has given you the link for another post, so there's 2 yes' for ya.
