Default LS7/ Z06 Low compression heads?

Hi I was wondering if any makes a lower compression LS7 head? Reason I ask is from the factory the LS7 head is almost 11-1 and I can only run about 4.5 pounds of boost with my Procharger. I'd rather bolt on a set of heads than redo my short block with pistons, i'd like to run about 9 to 10 pounds of boost max. Let me know and thanks for all the help guys.

It's understandable not wanting to go into the engine to swap pistons, and swapping heads seems like the easy way to get lower compression. The cast pistions on the LS7 can handle the lower pis boost(with a mild tune) and not destroy the ring lands, but running them at higher psi (9-10) is asking for troubles, IMHO. You will be dollars ahead, in the future, to go ahead and install forged low compression pistons if you plan to up your boost.

I think you can get a couple of tenths by switching to the zr1 head gasket which is thicker.

Is it thicker? I was under the impression it has the same compressed thickness. Just more layers. Cometic on the other hand does make thicker gaskets. The LS9 gasket is a great piece though, especially for under $85 a set. I would not use LS9 gaskets on a LS7 block though, the bore on the LS9 gaskets is only 4.100".

Is there enough material in the heads to machine out some from the combustion area?
