Default strange problem 2005 C6 Z51

Every one in a while when I get in and start the vette my radio has switched itself from XM1 to FM1 or sometimes AM. Also the temp #’s on the dual ac controls both go to 75 degrees. Twice the radio would not turn on and I had to shut off and restart engine for it to come back on. I’ve had the PCM re-flash for DBS and all up to date. Only have 7500 miles since I bought it only a few weeks ago from a non daily driver person. This is my daily driver and it runs great. Just this weird electrical ghost !

On the A/C display panel, the middle temperature is the outside temperature. If it consistently reads 75°, it's not working. It can be replaced. If it's the other displays, I have no idea what's going on.

The intermittent radio is a problem I had to fight in my 2005 coupe. The dealer eventually had to replace my radio while it was still under warranty.

Don't know what to tell you about the radio switching bands. Replacing the radio would probably fix that problem, but yours is out of warranty now, I think.

True, with a minor exception: if the temp has increased since the last shutdown and that shutdown was less than 4 (?) hours ago, the system will not update the outside temp until you have driven for several minutes above a certain speed. The info is hidden somewhere in the manual.

It's not the outside temp, it's the passenger and driver temp settings that both change by themselves to 75 degrees.

I was looking thru old posts and saw this...I have a late model run 05 vert M6 Z51 and it does the same things as yours. Plus it does not always reset the seat position, etc. The car has not forgotten the 'memory settings', it just doesn't remember them for that particular start-up. Everything checks out OK...no codes...so I just chock it up to early onset Alzheimers.
