This will be difficult to describe. The blower motor in my 2005 is stuck in the defrost mode. When I try to redirect the flow (face, floor, defrost) nothing happens. The graphic of the sitting person toggles all functions but the control is stuck on defrost. Also, the fan is stuck on high and can't be adjusted. When I do a restart the fan resets itself. Please help!!!
Based on you saying it's stuck on Defrost, I have to believe you've got a bad actuator. We're seeing more and more reports from '05 owners here. Seems to be an age related failure. They were a big problem on the C5's.
Anyway, the actuator is a movable curtain that directs airflow to various sections of the HVAC system. There are 4 of them. To replace them, the dash has to come out. It's a big job. Members here have been reporting in the neighborhood of $1500. So, IF your issue is in fact a bad actuator and you decide to have it repaired, you should have all 4 replaced at the same time. The parts cost is minimal compared to the labor cost of having to do it all again later this year or next year when the next one fails. Sorry.
There may be a little good news, members are reporting that the curtain material is a different color on the new replacement units so "maybe" they will last longer......we can hope anyway. Good luck.
Some C5 members reported that disconnecting the battery for a few minutes helped. You might try that as it might be an electrical thing rather than the curtain material issue I'm talking about.
Rick, Thanks for the detailed feedback. I had a dead battery when I put the C6 away for the winter. I only noticed the problem when I uncovered the car this spring and installed the new battery. I'll try unhooking it for a half hour or so and hope for the best., I'll let you know. Tkx...

Welcome to the club, I had a local Corvette shop replace one of my actuators (not knowing there were more) without removing the dash. I still have the same problem with my A/C, so I need to stop by there and find out how he did it. I got tied up on my cam swap and pushed the A/C problem aside
