Default When should I replace my shocks?

I have a 08 base c6 with 62k miles. Is there a mileage where I should look into buying new shocks?

They may last 100,000 miles or more. It depends on your driving and preferences. I've seen a few shocks fail and of course if that happens you need to replace it asap.

Lots of folks replace the stock shocks for better all-around performance -- and with MUCH lower miles than you. Lots of threads, like this: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...ade-wahoo.html

Since your C6 is lowered on aftermarket bolts, I'm guessing "just shocks" won't be enough. Some ideas: http://www.lgmotorsports.com/catalog...?cPath=546_554

My C6 is lowered all the way in the front on stock bolts and nearly all the way (1 full turn left) on after-markets bolts in the rear. I replaced my shocks at 35k with Bilstein HD shocks. The new shocks have made a huge difference in the ride and handling.

Depending on your driving style, shocks maybe all you need which is true in my case.

I wish I had replaced the stock shocks much sooner!

I R&R the shocks at 15k on my '08 C6 with Bilstien's HD's. HUGE difference, like a different car altogther. Start there and you'll get a good idea whether or not you need to go further.
