Anyone have good experience with rear tires? I've lowered my gears to 3:42's, stock 05, auto with Goodyear runflats. It's hard not to break them loose when going into 2nd. I don't mean a little squeel, the rear will leap to the right. I know runflats suck, but not sure what to switch to.
Thanks.
I had the same issue; easily burning out through second gear on a roll with the stock tires...
I switched to Bridgestone RE-11's and the car is MUCH better. I can not break the tires loose in second and have only broken them loose in first under certain circumstances like bad roads or cold temps. The stock Goodyear run flats were not even close in comparison..
You need to look at the UTQG ratings on what ever brand you choose. Generally ,the lower the number ; the softer the compound and the more traction you will have.
The factory Googyear is rated 220 and the Bridgstone R-11's are 180. There are 140 , 80, and 40 in DOT tires. You need to do some homework with tire companys; otherwise you may be disappointed.

If you still have the original tires from 2005, they get very hard and slippery over time. If you replaced them with anything out there, it would be better. I bought the Firestone Wide Oval RFT 3 years ago, and they were great until recently. They are starting to get hard now and I can get lots of wheel spin.
