I've got a 05 C6-6spd that has Magnaflow exhaust on it. The car sounds good, but I would like for it to be a little louder. I'm not wanting to spend 1800 on headers, but I was wondering if anyone had put catless or hi-flow cats on w/o headers. Would this change the sound, or be to loud? Thanks for the posts in advance!!
The only company that makes a cat delete pipe is magnaflow... link
Only $292...
That would definitely make it louder! I kinda wanted to get those, but am contemplating some ebay headers that are $450 instead and then ill get some performance gains as well!
What magnaflow exhaust do you have on there?? A axle back kit? I have magnaflows, but just the 4x9" mufflers custom installed, lots of guys did this a few years back, part #14335 / 14336
magnaflow also makes some hi-flow cats, but id say thats a huge waste of money & time...
I agree with gunterwalker! headers or cat deletes! At least those 2 will also give you performance gain and the sound, but will require a tune! A new muffler setup will give you the sound only

LTH should only cost you around 1k for a good brand like B&B. Find the lowest price on line then ask a forum vender to match or beat it.
I was also thinking of buying some ebay headers with the hi-flow cats and X-pipe. (OBX) Although they're Chinese made, the reviews seem to be positive. I'm going to check into the magnaflow cat delete also. What to you do about the 02 sensors with a cat delete, because I don't necessarly want codes popping. Thank you for your advice!!!!
With headers, they still install into the pipes, but you will need o2 extension.
With cat deletes, they still also have bungs in the pipes, but I dont think they require o2 extension as they are in a similar to stock location.
Either way the right thing to do it then tune the rear o2 sensors out... You could try o2 simulators or spark plug anti-foulers, but wouldnt be recommended by many!
