Default need advice on tires and sizes

i need tires all the way around my 05 z51. currently running stock sizes on front and 305/30/19 on the rear (pilot ps2's). i like the width of the 305's on the rear but hate the tire wheel well gap. i dont want to lower the car due to the roads in my area so.....what would people recomend for tire sizes front and rear (as wide as possible on stock wheels w/o purtruding past wheel wells) i dont track the car,but still want it to handle good.

The 305s on the rear are already wider then then tire manufacturers recommend for a 10" wheel width. If you want wider tires you'll need wider wheels with the correct offset.

the 305's look and fit really well on the car. i am wanting to match up a tire for the front that will work well with it.

Can you post some pics of the 305's on the rear? I want to do this when i get new tires this year. I know it's wider but i can't see a half inch per side making too much of a difference with the wheel.

Prior to doing my wide body I was running 255s or 265s up front with 305s in the rear on stock C6 wheels. You can go with a taller tire but if you do remember to go taller all the way around to avoid upsetting the ABS/AH system. For example, stock C6 tires are 40s up front and 35s in the rear. You could go 45s up front w/ 40s in the rear. Remember this is only an example. Point is, try to stay within the stock front-to-rear tire ratio.

Another option would be to get larger wheels...say 19s front/20s rear.
