My Brother-in-law just bought a 2006 C6 and has been asking me questions that I am not 100% sure about. My car is a C4 and it is a diffrent beast all together.
Anyway he wants a car cover, exhaust system, and what ever else you guys think he needs to get for the car as a good starting point. His car is a 2006 C6 auto convert top. I know there is a big diffrence in price on parts if you dont know where to go for the best deal. I also know that a bunch of the stuff you see out there is just junk that does nothing for performance so can you lend a guy a hand to sift through all the information please.
Can you get him to sign up here and come in and ask specific questions himself?
Remind him that he already has an awesome car, no need to go crazy with the mods. Especially until he hangs around here and learns from the experts (not including me).

I have infromed him about the site and he is LURKING! He does not know much about truning wrenches and does not really know what to ask. He does however want to make his car his own if you know what I mean. Everyone wants their vett to be diffrent. I know what works and where to get it when it comes to my C4 but I am not well versed on the C6.
without a doubt he wants a car cover
exhaust system that is quiet when crusing but loud when you get on the gas. I warned him about buying K&N filters and cold air intakes until he reads up because these cars already breath real well. I do se however that many of you guys have headers, exhaust, custom program, etc.
Well, reading and asking questions is the best way to learn.
Example: car covers aren't "generally" recommended. Why? Because it's almost impossible to repeatedly put on and take off a cover without scratching up the paint over time. That's something most of us don't want to do. There are of course recommended covers for different situations. So that is something he needs to educate himself about and if he wants to use one then he could just start a thread and ask (1 question), What Car Cover is Recommended for **** (indoor use, outdoor use, full time, occasional use).
I would suggest spending a few hours searching the forum. He can probably answer most of his questions by reading up first. This way he will avoid feeling silly asking questions...
