According to International, the metal in the connectors was incorrect for the amperage the connector was rated for, they have now fixed the problem so if you order a new connector and pin terminals it should have an updated metal that should be capable of the amperage for the fans. The new trucks have the same connector but we see no more problems with melting on the same 40 amp circuit.
wow nice info. Could you link me a part # for the whole shabang?

I could get part numbers and prices but they will be through International which will likely be more expensive than getting them online.
Found a site here that sells everything you need to fix both sides.

Just had mine go out! YAY! Middle pin took a dump, and the car got nice and hot IN A HURRY. 90 degree day didn't help either.

So just to be sure... No easy way to jump these to make it work until I can get it all replaced? Did anyone just run blade connectors straight to the female end?

Bump from hell, figured I'd ask instead of making a new thread. When you bypass the PWM with a relay, would the ECM throw a CEL?
