Prepare yourself for numerous takes on this subject. Most of the gains are observed on the track / road at speed, as this is where the in coming air is available. You most likely won't see much on the dyno. Having said that, more air and cooler air is always beneficial in making horsepower. Most , including myself, have experienced an improvement in throttle response, less knock retard/ timing pulled due to elevated IAT's, and some have noted better 1/4 mile et's with a cold air kit. A search will give you many products and methods to accomplish this.[ For what it is worth, I have put cold air kits on every car and truck I have ever owned. ]

Maybe a few. Nothing major. You won't feel it by the SOTP. You MIGHT get a little better TB response. That said I do have a Vararam. The track times with that do kinda speak for themselves. The downfall to the CAI's that require you to cut the shroud is you have to cut the shroud and there have been others that have experienced vapor lock. I truly believe that if you are going with a CAI there is no need to upgrade unless you are getting fresh air that's not under the hood. The LS2's air intake isn't the best but the LS3's is pretty good. Some may disagree with somethings I have said but after reading up on the subject these are my beliefs.
