I just bought a set of headers from one of the local corvette guys in my area who is returning his car. He is not very knowledgeable about car parts but told me the headers first were dynatech's then later told me LG. I was a little optimistic about buying them but after he gave me a price for the headers and the crossover pipe ($300) I just couldn't refuse. So I brought them home and come to find out through my own internet investigation that they are kook headers. Every little detail matches up with the online pics of kooks and and my mystery headers. The one thing I dont know for sure though is what size these headers I got are. He told me that they were 1 7/8 but I am reluctant to believe him now. How would I be able to figure out what size they are? Thanks
I thought so but didnt know if that was the right way to measure it. The pipe looks to get a little smaller after the flange so I didnt know if just straight up measuring the diameter of the opening on the flange was the proper way to do it. Thanks

In my personal opinion unless you are pushing over 600 rwhp then the 1 7/8 is a waste. Not sure about Kooks but I think LG routes the 1 7/8 pipes different than the 1 3/4 (to the collector I mean.) This might be easier than measuring if they are on the car. Anyway for $300 why even worry what they are.
