I just put on a set of Nitto NT05R tires on the back. Now I see why guys will often use these for daily drivers. What traction and what a nice ride. Quiet and with the soft rubber – hard to beat. Where I live in Iowa we have too much rain to use often so I will go back to the PS2’s for daily driving.
QUESTION: I want to protect the rear quarter panel from dirt and small rocks. What have you guys found out there? Is there a temporary clip on guard?
With the tires sticking out that far past the fender edge it's going to beat up that panel big time. Maybe a set of Z06 guards would help because they are wider... You're also going to beat up the front of that fender well and maybe even part of the door! It will toss small stones/ sand etc forward as well as backwards.
What size Nito's are those? I have 325's on my regular body vette and they DO NOT stick out past the fender wells at all... I am running CCW wheels so perhaps that's the difference...
