Default Chiptuning LS2, LS3, LS7 and LS9?

Hi,

There is a shop here in Europe that claimes they can give your LS-motor a gain of 50hp just by chiptuning it! Price is only 399 euros! Is it possible to get 50 hp out of it just by chiptuning it or is it too good to be true?

I would take that with a grain of salt. Most guys say that a tune can free up 10-15 rwhp on a stock car. Throttle response changes significantly, so companies probably use that to their advantage and claim 50 Hp difference. Any business that uses those marketing strageties isn't here to help Corvette owners - all they care about is $$$.

Do your research prior to handing them your keys and wallet...

One word.. RUBBISH! First off don't know what "chip" they are talking about... perhaps Chocolate Chip? Some HP can be gained by a good tuner but certainly not 50... not even close!

Bottom line save your money and do some REAL performance enhancements and then get it tuned by someone that knows what they are doing. If they aren't dynoing it BEFORE and AFTER then their HP claims mean absolutely nothing...

not possible 5 or 10 maybe 15 on a good day. there isnt 50hp left on the table from the factory. you might gain 50 from headers, cai and a tune. but not tune alone. plus what chip are they tuning? these cars dont have prom chips that **** is almost 20 years out dated now. stay away from them if it sounds to good to be true then its a lie

What is chiptuning? I thought none of the engines have a chip.

They don't!

Remember the old saying......"That if it sounds too good to be true, usually it is."

I'd see which was faster, my car or me running away from that shop!
