Corvette Battery Charger
My 11 GS came with the Covette trickle charger that plugs into the cigarette lighter. I drove the car and then had it plugged in for a week and the light never went to "green" indicating a full charge. No warning light indicating an issue but I would think afer a week the battery should be fully charged??? Any one have any ideas??? Also, this battery charger gets "Hot" enough to practically burn your hand if you pick it up.

First, just to be clear, that isn't a "trickle charger"......totally different animal. It's a "maintainer". 
No experience with that one, it is a CTEK 3300 and many here use them. I haven't seen any reports similar to yours. I use a Battery Tender brand, the longest it's taken to charge is 2+ days. AFAIK both brands charge at the same 1.25 amp rate.
You might want to ask for opinions in C6 General, might get more responses.

Something's not right. It should not get hot. And the light certainly should turn green in less than a week.
The factory "Battery Maintainer" is basically a CTEK 3300. I have a 3300 and run it continuously all winter -- it gets slightly warm, never hot.
Take it back to the dealer. Maybe go directly to the parts dept?
BTW, it's the one pictured below, right?
