Default interior light stay on

I just noticed last night that the 2 light in the rear-view mirror on my 07 Z stay on very dimly. I don't know if it has been doing this for a long time or just started. I replaced the bulbs with LED's right after I got it back in February. They are very faint. Anyone know if this is something to be concerned about. I'm going to contact the place I bought the LEDs to ask them about it.

Common problem with LED replacements for interior lamps.

One solution is to leave one of the stock bulbs in place, somewhere.

Adding a resistor will work too.

Check with your LED Vendor.

Many C6 owners have had a problem with the OEM map lights staying on when they accidentally pressed and released the dash dimmer switch.

Try getting in the car, close the door, then press and release that dimmer switch at your left knee. With the map light switch set to their normal off position, wait a few minutes and see if they go off.

If not, then it is a problem with the LEDs themselves.

thanks guys. That gives me a bit of relief. I was worried it was unusual and would possibly drain my battery. I'll contact the vendor of the LEDs. I tried the dimmer switch thing too. It didn't work but it allowed me to discover that the lights under the dash stay on too. I was in my sock feet and my white socks glowed slightly.

I was told it was normal with the LED interior lights so I stopped being concerned. My battery is fine. I'm not going to sweat it.
