Default Corvette GS break pads

I was trying to change the break pads on my vette when I realized the one's I was suggested at autozone were totally wrong. I realized each wheel took up 6 mini pads totaling 12 and unfortunately there are no auto shops that have the pads I need except for the dealership which are charging me 425. I found on a corvette online store z06 break pads that look exactly like the ones my car use. I was wondering if the GS model and z06 use the same type of brakes, if anyone could help please and thank you.

Yes. They are exactly the same. Just painted silver rather then red.

There is at least one vendor that sells 1 piece pads for Z06/GS replacements instead of the padlets. They offer more surface area and easier install. Havent tried them yet but thats what Im going with when its time to replace pads.

You can get the GM pad kits much cheaper from forum vendors like GM Parts House or Parts Taxi. The GM kit includes a new set of pad guide pins so that is why they are more expensive than other street pads. There are several places on line that you can buy aftermarket street pads including the two places I mentioned above.

You may even find some GM pads on the C6 Parts forum.
