Well I decided to go to atco since I put the 4.10's in the car. It ended up being a not so great night as the track prep was horrible and could not get the car to hook. My best 60' of the night was a 1.79 and decided to run it out the back half to a not so great 11.41 at 124.56mph. It was a new best mph for me but far from my best et.
It's hard enough to launch a bolt on 118mph car with stock gears at a test and tune track. A few extra ponies and the 20% increase in torque to the pavement, and a 1.79 isn't anything to be ashamed of.
I was on Micket ET streets. I have cut a 1.68 on the stock gears. I need that 1.5 60' to get my ET where I want it to be which I think should definitely be doable. I did not see them spray the track once with VHT last night which sucked because I was hoping to click off that low 11 high 10 pass. O well next time!

Did the time slip girl ask you to "please open your door" as you pulled up to the booth?
I'd gotten that for a mere 11.42 once.

Yeah they haven't been quite as consistent with the prep on regular test and tune days/nights lately, the track bite compound has gotten so expensive and attendance in general has been down so they're losing money from both ends. I was there for a rental on Wednesday and they did do their usual great job with the prep.
The last time I got the boot she asked me to open the door this time she just said well it looks like your done for the night. I go what no warning she goes nope.
I am still getting use to the gears I just want a day with some prep to launch the crap out of it and get that 1.5 I'm so desperately looking for.

Yeah I guess they just start to remember all of us "troublemakers" after a while LOL.

Lol yea that definitely is true. Even when I teched in the guy goes I think I remember you don't you need a cage. I go who not me I'll be lucky if this thing breaks into the 12's and he just rolled his eyes.
Wow Atco's still open? Was there in the '70s with my stock Norton Commando S. 12.79s @101 consistantly. My 1963 Vert with the 327, 300 did 13.97s @ 97mph bone stock.

Atco Raceway is a 1/4 mile drag strip located in Atco, New Jersey. Opened in 1960, it is the oldest drag strip in New Jersey. The track is also sanctioned by the NHRA, the largest sanctioning body in drag racing. Atco Raceway held over 265 events last year making it one of the busiest tracks in the country.
Very cool. I have a lot of pics and great memories from there. Also a lot of trophies until people learned how to drag the Honda 750 4s. All downhill from there.

I used to race my GT 500 KR which had a 428 Cobra Jet which was under-rated at 335 horses and never once got into the 13's. In C purestock class ,I would race and beat Vette's rated at 350 horses with low 14's to their mid 14's. Call me a skeptic on a 13.97 with 300.
