Default Where to go....

As far as performance, I have a WCC hurricane intake, Power Coupler, Corsa X-pipe and cat-back system. I talked to the guys at dyno-comp in Arizona where I got my Mercedes hooked up at and they said they could do Kooks headers and high flow cats plus a tune for 3200 installed. I havent been able to get ahold on Cunningham Motorsports to compare the prices on the same service. I dont really want to drive all the way to scottsdale again to get work done on my car. Now, does anyone have experience with either of these companies ( especially Cunningham ) and who would be better to go with? Are there any other headers out there that you think I should consider? I looked at OBX but im still not 100% convinced on them. After the headers, high-flow cats and tune get done...I pretty much have no idea what to do next. Short of a supercharger or nitrous...where should I go from here as far as performance upgrades?

Assuming the Kooks price at about 1600-1700$ and a tune generally is 400-500... 3200 is way high. They are almost charging you 1000 in labor! Any decent mechanic worth his own **** should be able to install headers in 2-3 hours tops wiht access to a lift.

I would go somewhere else

How much power do you want (realistically)?

I would also stay away from nitrous and any sort of water/methanol injection systems because they are one more thing aside from fuel that you have to be sure you have supplied (and once its gone, you are screwed).

Forced induction adds a lot more complexity to fixing things (not in the install, but when crap breaks, or when you are servicing an area that now has a pipe where you need to access a bolt...). It just adds more hassle. Oh and its a pain in the *** to have to wait to warm the car up and then wait to cool it down.

These motors are capable of making a lot of power. The next thing I would do with your car is add an aftermarket intake manifold or have the stock one ported along with the throttle body.

If you decide to go internal, stick to the simple time tested stuff: new cam, and headwork. There are many combinations you can go with in this department and one thing will affect another, so you want to plan it ALL out if decide to go down this route... Prepare to do a lot of reading!
