Default Race seats???? Please help

I have a 09 z06. I am looking for a pair of race seats that will fit in there, and also fit me. I'm 6'1" 225lbs. Not fat. I'm a bigger guy with broad shoulders. Having a really hard time trying to find something. I have my guy waiting on the seats so he can build my cage. Any info is greatly appreciated.

What are the biggest seats I can fit in there?

Hopefully the company also makes steering wheels as I want the seats and steering wheel to match.

Please let me know

Thanks
Paulie

I had my wife measure me and my shoulders are about 22" and my butt leg area is 18".

Not sure if that would help

Paulie, you'll get better info on this in the raod racing forum. I suggest posting there.

Do you want a full halo seat or a standard? I use a Sparco Corsa (I'm 6'4 220) but it's in a C4, not a C6.

Hey Paulie,

A cage huh. Sounds like you're stepping up the safety a bit. You thinking of running in the Mojave Mile next year or you're just doing it for peace of mind?

I have a set of Corbeaus in the garage that I bought used a few years ago. Not sure if they're the CR1 or A4 models. I was going to use them for the car but I want to wait till I get my D-shaped steering wheel and other interior pieces. If you want I can put one in the car so you can see how it fits.

For the D-shaped steering wheel I'd search the for sale section and pick up a used one. Then have the seats or steering wheel reupholstered to match. I know of a place nearby that does great work.

What's up Daniel. Pretty much both. Getting ready for the mile and piece of mind for the wife! Lol.

I seen those seats and I think they fit in the car for sure....but I didn't fit in them

It's a big pita tryin to figure this out.

You do know that you really can't use a caged car on the street....unless you a wear a helmet.

Best of luck with your project

Those do look comfy. Only the evo 2 is a bigger seat. I'm trying to get ahold of some but am having the hardest time. I'm gonna look in these if I can't find the evo's

So there is a very real chance of injury or death from even a minor accident. Imagine getting hit by a baseball bat in the head.

The way I learned about this was by talking to several cage builders that would not put a cage in a street legal car.

You may not think that is relevant, but Dodge had to quit selling the 'B" series vans because the drivers head was to close to the interior framework and would harm the driver in the case of an accident. Same deal, no were for your head to move around in the case of an accident.
