Default russell ss brake line install

I'm doing the zo6 brake conversion and the rear brake line seem kinda short. Has anyone that done this notice this. It fits but just seem tight. Do you think after putting wheel back on and lowering it it will be OK?

My son installed by Russell SS brake lines. I remember him saying that the rear were a bit troublesome....getting them on and then maybe a little tight fit. But have driven for over 250 miles and no brake fluid noticed although I have not looked at the line itself.....maybe when putting all back together and down on ground it fits fine?

This might be irrelevant but I put SS brake lines on a previous car and the rears seemed too short.

I made the same assumption as you, that it would be fine once the car was lowered. After a few hundred miles, probably close to 1000, one of the brake lines snapped. I had no brakes but my emergency brake but was lucky to be moving slow enough and had enough room to stop.

They had mistakenly sent me the wrong length.

I have SS lines on my C6 and will probably always do this as a top tier mod, but if you think something is wrong with the line, do not wait.

I simply got lucky, I could have been barreling down the freeway or on the track when it decided to snap.
