Clutch won't disengage
Starting on day 3 on my new 2011 Grand Sport 6 speed, the clutch peddle pressure increses dramatically and the clutch won't disengage.
Sometimes the problem occures when the car is cold in the morning and other times when it is warm and shifting through the gears. It may go on for a couple of peddle pumps or continue for long periods of time. The dealer replaced the master cylinder once and told me the rod from the peddle to the cylinder was bent which he says caused the problem. If that were the case I don't think the problem would be intermittent. This week he removed the master cylinder again and said it was OK and put it back. I think the problem is with the slave, throwout, or clutch hanging up--thus the increased peddle pressure. The service manager was not aware that there is a slave cylinder--da! Has anyone else seen this problem? Monday morning they want me to drive around with the technician with a link hooked up to a laptop. He made a coment that he wants to see how I drive it. I've driven my '92 for 14 years and never had a clutch issue. Maybe I should scream lemon and go back to old reliable! Help!
