So I have an 05 A4, with Halltech Venom, Borla Stingers and 160 stat. I have a few more dollars to spend and was thinking long tube headers and a tune but then would have to worry about it passing my states smog visual inspection. Or I could do a ported throttle intake and throttle body and tune. Any one give me pros and cons to each? Thanks!!!

Good route to if you are concerned about the emissions process.

A high stall torque converter would also not effect emissions and produce a large improvement off the line and nice gain from a roll. Not as an inexpensive as your current idea.

I'd go with the ported intake/tune and avoid the emissions issues in california.

Ported TB won't do much other than give better throttle response.

The long tube headers are not legal in any state.
