Just ordered a skip skift for my o7 Z51. Is it easy to install?

Yes. The reverse lockout solenoid and the skip shift solenoid have the same connectors, so follow the instructions closely and put it in the skip shift solenoid. I know Patrick (GM Parts House Patrick - patrickt) has a thread with an illustration showing where to put it here on the forum.

It is much easier if you have a lift. That is the pia part of the job. Other than access, it's a simple mod.

The proper solenoid is clearly marked with a sticker that says "skip shift"...it is a five minute job...unplug, re-plug, tie down wire with wire tie, done.

If you can manage to get the rear onto a set of ramps it is about a 5 minute job. When you slide under the car, have a couple of cable ties (for both sides) and a dike to cut the excess ties. If you commute in traffic, this will be the best $20 you ever spent
