Default Can I Lift C6 Using Same Lowering Bolts?

I hate to think about it, but I don't think my new Grand Sport will be able to enter my driveway without scraping the splitter.

I understand many Corvette owners like to lower the car using the stock bolts. My question is whether the same bolts could be used to raise it approximately 1/2" in front and back. I have no experience with lowering them, but I am guessing the bolts could be adjusted in the opposite directions. Is there enough room on the bolts to raise 1/2"?

If so, can someone point me to exact directions on how to do it? Can I just jack up one corner at a time? When I have it jacked up, what am I looking for? Any photos or diagrams available?

Thanks very much.

No personal experience, I'm only responding because no one else has yet. I "doubt" you'll get a 1/2" lift from the stock bolts but maybe. Just remember it often isn't as simple as turning all 4 bolts the same amount and ending up with all 4 corners the same. You should take measurements first so you know. Plus an alignment will be needed afterward.

Here's a current thread with videos on "lowering". Obviously you would just go the opposite direction with the bolts but it gives you a good idea what you're getting into. Hopefully others, who are more knowledgeable, will chime in over the next couple days. Best of luck.

I rasied my stock 2005 3/4 inch on the stock bolts. I chose to have my tire shop alignment guy do it as I was warned that it would screw up the alighnment. Sure nuff, it did. So, since you should get an alignment anyway after rasing it, why not have the bolts screwed "down" by an alignment shop at the same visit?
