Default Best brake fluid?

What are you guys using? Have a 2008 with Z51 brake package (part of F55). Anyone know the capacity? Tips on changing fluid (also installing Delco ceramic pads)? Thanks!

The best fluid IMHO is Castrol SRF. Overkill for most. ATE Type 200 and Super Blue are good fluids and are different colors so you can tell when the old fluid is flushed.

I'm using Motul RBF600 Synthetic DOT 4 Brake Fluid. Awesome stuff.

For street use just get Autozone stuff. Don't waste your money on fancy fluids.

For track use, the Motul and Castrol SRF are great but expensive. The ATE is good and is what I use. Look at the WET boiling point of these brands if you want to know how to compare them. The dry boiling point is fresh from the can, the wet point is the real world - it means the boiling point once the fluid has absorbed water from the atmosphere, which pretty much happens as soon as you open the bottle.

Castrol srf is 70 to 80 bucks a bottle. It has been one of the higher regarded brake fluids for a while now.

Ate gold/blue fluids will run you 10 to 15 per bottle and recieve good reviews.

If/when you race go for the better one.
With the ceramic pads Im assuming youre not that concerned about the track - save the money and get the ate.

good luck!

I like ATE superblue because it comes in both an amber and a blue color. So what you do it fill it up with blue, and then when you flush you put in amber and can tell when the blue is flushed out of the caliper when the color changes fully to amber.

Another vote for the ATE Super Blue and ATE Typ 200 (the amber color version of Super Blue). Just like previous posters have stated, it makes it easy to know when you've flushed out all of the old stuff. I've been very happy with its performance and it's reasonably priced.

I used two 500ml containers of Motul RBF600 to flush my system.
