Got all my parts for my conversion to Grand Sport today !!! Does anyone know where there is a good write up on doing the wide body conversion? Got a 150 parts and was hoping someone has seen a good write up.

Thanks

I am glad to see that people are still benifiting from this post....Just as I benifitted from Atomic-Vettes efforts. Feel free to send me a PM if you have any questions.

Charley

P.S. This is what it looked like in my driveway

Did you have to get new tires and rims for this?

Wow, now that is a project, but they look soooo cool with this mod...
Can I be so forward to ask what this mod costs and where you source these parts?

I have a modified C3 that I have posted on the forum. Once sold or traded I am looking to buy a C6 and do this very mod.

Thanks mskvettefan

The rear is definetely the cheapest at 1,400 for the parts and another 150 for shipping due to the size of the parts.

The front is more expensive at about 2,400 for the parts and another 250 for shipping again due to size (of course it will depend on how far you are from the supplier).

Then the painting of the parts will add up too depending on your area of the country and who you can find. The rear cost me $800 and I did the front myself with a friend for $360, so I got very lucky.

There are many suppliers for GM original parts and aftermarket. I got most of the parts from Partstaxi. I was able to find factory blems on the internet for the fenders and bumper so I saved about 1,000 bucks on the front alone. Just right place right time.
