I replaced my column lock yesterday. I got the column lock at my dealer for $343 and went for it. If anyone needs any tips let me know. If I have time I'll do a DIY thread on it.

Daniel, you are the man when it comes to c6 fab. I am truly impressed.

Keep me in the loop! I've been helping a friend with a c5 and the pull key wait 10 seconds/service column lock issues...and it has renewed my worry about my column lock.

Keep me posted with this bypass.

I've been having the same issues with no luck, mine is 2005 MN6, after doing a lot of serching I realized my battary was very old so I replaced it a month ago, same results, then my dealer told me to disconect the battery and get the battery wires together to reset the computer, never heard about this before, disconecting the battery reboots the computer but getting the battery cables together was something new, anyway, it worked for one month until yesterday the problem showed back.

The coolest ting will be a bypass for this thing, is extremely frustrating.

Reindex your windows by rolling them down then up and hold them in the up position for 15 seconds or so.
