I never see above 11.5-12v at idle usually since I've had my underdrive pulley on, but it hasn't ever given me an issue under any normal driving situation. I've considered bumping my idle up a bit, but so far I haven't seen the need for it.

same issue here. mine settles around 12.9-13.1, but i feel that is still enough, this only happens when sitting at idle for more than 10 mins with a/c on max and ect +190
I think its a heat soak issue because if i rev the engine the volts dont go up. but as soon as i start driving again and airflow restored the voltage comes back to 14.
I'm not having and "problems" per say. I guess I just don't like it. Pump and injectors not getting the "proper" voltage, fan no moving as fast as it could, etc, etc.
11.5 seems really low Shawn. I'm surprised you're not tripping "service charging system" messages. I'm talking like high 12's.
One cause for this low voltage is the wire from the alternator to the battery goes through the starter solenoid lug which loosens up. But I just replaced my starter. It got a little better but not as good as I'd like it.
Why not just bump your idle up and see if that works for you?
But to answer your original question, I don't think anyone makes one for our alternators. I talked to Lee at ASP and the design makes for a fairly expensive pulley that most won't pay and installation isn't something the average can do. He could possibly make you a custom pulley if you want to go that route.
you say its when the car is hot...
maybe the cooling fan is using that power? When my car is hot I will run the heater to get the fan circulating air to cool the oil down. During this time it is normal to see the voltage dip into the 13s.
have you thought about when the engine goes up high rpm? you may be buying alternators if you speed it up. also, you may get a overcharge msg. on your dic. i don't know this for sure.............just sayin.

try running a wire from the alt to the battery instead.

Anyone have any experience with these? My alternator tests fine but, that stupid "service charging system" keeps chiming. Thinking of buying a high output alternator but, having trouble spending $500 for an alternator.

I have an ATI underdrive pulley, and when I am at a stop light (07 A6)with the A/C on I get that message every now and then.

Sir,
Also check out my two post in this thread for more info.
maybe it is a combo of both, but i removed the supercharger and relocated my battery to the back and ran a power wire all the way to the starter, than to the fuse box, added some extra grounds too... oh yea, added a tt kit.. but my voltage never drops below 13 volts now.. =)

Gering,
Did you mean to say you have an overdrive alternator pulley? I'll read up on your thread and see what I find, appreciate the response. I'm new to the C6 and want to mod (cam, heads and under-drive pulley) but, she's giving me some small problems that are making me nervous.

No, it is an ATI "the brand" under drive pulley. PM sent.
