Default Personal Settings Lost

Strange thing happened this morning - went to get in and found that all my personal settings have been lost. radio stations all lost; seat settings lost; time off by 1 hour; and personal welcome screen lost.

Has anyone experienced this behaivor? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I should mention - this is a 2011 Grand Sport

Have to ask the obvious question first.......did you have the correct FOB with you? All that stuff is linked to each individual FOB.

Sounds like one or both of you were using a fob that did not have the memory option set yet.

That's not the problem...I had the correct FOB. This morning, everything was back to normal...all the radio stations were set, the clock was the correct time and the DIC welcome was correct. Can't explain the glitch or why it happened.

A long shot, but...

There have been occasional reports of the car picking up the other fob if it's outside the car but nearby, giving you incorrect or missing settings. It shouldn't happen that way, but once in a million...

If you accidentally bumped the other (#2) button while closing the door, that would give you the other settings.

A weak main battery in the car can give all sorts of goofy problems, the fact that your car is new does not, unfortunately, completely rule out battery problems.

Finally, it's more a computer than a car, and computers occasionally glitch. If it doesn't happen again, just enjoy the car. But, Never turn your back on an electron.

Nearly everytime I leave the car with someone for service the settings are changed. The few times at the dealer for service and the one time I had the car detailed the car comes back with the seats, radio, Nav., trip, fuel avg, etc, etc, etc changed.

Seems like nobody can keep their hands off the controls. Really aggravating to have to re-set all the controls.
