Cracked 05 C6 Differential
Hey guys i cracked my diff on my 05 c6 at the drag strip. i dont wanna have the same problem down the road with another 05 diff. What would you guys recommend to put in instead?

No doubt the C5 is much cheaper but I'd still check with RPM and see what they have in stock and what they say about the conversion. Cheaper is not always better.

according to there catalog they do heres the price, and you need two side covers, i had a freind give me his blown 07 stick rear, it was blown ring and pinion and case i bought an 09 housing and used his 07 side covers my internals were good, i got the adapter from RPM, so my cost was the housing and the adapter,

so when putting in the 06-07 you need the side covers? the 05s wont work?
cause to go this route im looking at
440 for the housing shipped from GMpartshouse
448 for the adaptor shipped from RPM
290 and 2400 for the side covers from GMpartshouse
for a total of 1430

I ran 959rwhp on mickey thompson drag radials for 2 1/2 years with no issue on my C5 diff in my C6. The C5 diff conversion is going to handle anything you throw at it. I ran H/C/Nitrous for a year before that at 611rwtq on drag radials too.
I've seen C6 2006+ diffs blow up at the track on head/cam power.
