umm I would just wait for the boost and not waste your money on making more power on motor.

Yup. No sense in fretting over #'s at this point. Low compression and a cam designed to work well with a blower sometimes won't yield good n/a numbers. Could be a stingy dyno too. With compression that low, you should be able to really pour the coals to it boost wise. Even with the low numbers, I'd bet it's still one torquey bitch on the street as is.

So when are you installing the airpump??
8.85 is perfect for SC, what is your DCR?
how much boost did you plan on running?

I could see 9.5-9.8:1 on 900rwhp but 8.8 is just killing VE. If you're not at sea level you want more than 9.8. Todays fuel options make low compression like that just plain overdone.

what he said

Others will run higher compression but when your dealing with pump gas better safe than sorry. A meth kit, race fuel, octane adders/boosters... E85...all ways to fight detonation but simpler is better IMO
I would rather turn up the boost and not have to worry about as much..
Its not that it cant be done, its just what is better suited for safer and more reliable...

Sooo I'm guessing you have a 4.005 bore and -25cc dished pistons

If you milled the heads to 62 you would be at

9.62 or there abouts depending on what you really have going on
