I have a 2005 LS2 Targa top. My driver’s side window seems to have a mind of its own. The window will index up and down (1/2 inch or so) while driving and while parked with the ignition off (with the door closed). This obviously raises a security concern since the window will occasionally index down when I'm not around. When it does this I can not manually raise the window the rest of the way, pulling the window control up does nothing. I will hear a "clicking" noise somewhere in the cab just before the window indexes.
Any thoughts or ideas on what the problem / Fix might be? I've tried re-indexing the window as stated in the owners manual but this did not fix it.
Almost certainly the exterior door entry switch pad is dirty/corroded. GM issued a TSB, they want you to replace it, about $15 for the whole thing. A member here decided to try cleaning his and it worked. His procedure has helped dozens here on the Forum. So, you can try cleaning or just go buy new ones.

Actually it probably is not the switch. The switch is just that a switch and it doesn't control the window. When the door switch is closed by somebody touching the pads it sends a signal to the door control module that opens the window. A switch with dirty contacts can cause an intermittent signal when it is closed. However, the switch is open when nobody is touching it and there will not be any intermittent signals sent to the door module. The window on my 08 did this two years ago. Dealer fixed it under warranty by replacing the door control module.

No argument Bill, certainly could be the module but my observation is that far more around here have had success with the switch, which is obviously the easiest and cheapest thing to address first.

Where is the DCM located and does anyone have a part #?

I have replaced door switch and still window is stuck in up position.
and door will not release electrically.
Is the DCM located inside door panel and does anyone have a part #?, supply source.

I think it's known as the Driver Door Module (DDM), but not positive.
Quotes from bingo1105:
I took the car to the dealership today and the service tech found a loose connector on the DDM. He re-seated the connector and all appears to be functioning correctly now. Everything else checked out okay...
This doesn't appear to be a common problem, but I figured I'd post the solution in case anyone else experiences a similar issue.
From me:
Just for clarity, what is DDM? TIA
bingo1105's answer:
Something to do with the door module (driver door module maybe?). That's what it says on the service ticket anyway...
The tech had to pull the door panel to find the issue. Wish I could have taken some pictures to share...
I've been looking for and waiting for someone to post pics but so far no luck. Hope this helps though.
