Toe does not cup tires. Balance, shocks or worn parts will. Excessive toe in or out will feather the tread all the way across. I had my alignment checked when I installed new tires last summer. The front camber was at -.44. I decided not to mess with it. I have over 10K on them and they are still have 8/32" all the way across the tread. It just doesn't get any better. Drives straight down the road with a nice neutral feel. There are sure a lot of new terms used here that I never heard when I was aligning. Later! Frank
Thanks for jacking my post...awesome job. I've had my Vette and been a member since '04 and i haven't seen crap like this in awhile. It's this kind of garbage and self centered junk that is ruining this forum.
Keep it classy, and next time take it to PMs. Sound like a bunch o rookies in here.
I do believe you got the information on the tire wear. I was totally technical in my responses. Next time, I'll let someone else reply to your questions.
You are right. My sincere apologies to you. Your posts were very informative and helpful.
I hope you accept my apology and that I can buy you a beverage of your choice someday.

Helpful in that he gave you completely incorrect information. Read the last few posts by people other then me as well, that wear is NOT cupping and NOT associated with irregular toe. It is normal wear from camber and the strange wear on the tread blocks is called heel wear and also very normal from the way the tread blocks squirm because they contact the pavement obviously not all at once.
The wear you are seeing is because you have negative camber, normal and probably toe in, but the question is how much. Does the car feel darty, do you have an issue with ruts on the freeway.
I run 1.5 degrees camber and as close to 0 toe as possible, -.08 degress. I will still wear out the inner tires early but I needed a comrpise alignment for when I run my r-compound tires. With this alignment the r-compounds wear on the outside.
