I have done a lot of searching on how to pin the crank. It appears that there are two different methods used to pin the balancer to the crank.
ATI has a kit that installs the pin in a radial orientation.
A&A has a kit that installs the pin in a horizontal orientation.
There may be other kits out there, but these seem to be the most talked about.
The ATI kit might be a little easier to use because you can drill straight up. Other than that, is there any technical reason to use one over the other?
I was doing some more searching and found a couple of times where the pin installed using the ATI method (not necessarly their kit) sheared off. Not sure what caused it to happen.
I probably lean toward the A&A kit.
