Default H02 sensor drive cycle test interval.

I was receiving code P0054 H02S heater resistance, Bank 1 Sensor 2.
Believing I have addressed a problem with the downstream H02 sensor extension cable, I reset the DTC code with my AutoEngunity ObdII Scanner.

I cannot find much information on this system, and I want to know how long it will be before I can be assured I have trouble-shot the problem and the code will not return.

Question: How many drive cycles, or after what conditions will the ECM retest the H02S heater circuit?

Thank you.

I think I should have posted this question in the Scan & Tune section instead. A moderator may move this message if it makes sense to do so.

From what I have seen and experienced, the heater circuit should clear within 2 ignition cycles. The sensor needs to cool down for the second cycle. It is quicker to clear than the O2 sensor readiness test.

>>"the heater circuit should clear within 2 ignition cycles"<<
Sorry, not even close. My Vette failed the emmissions OBDII test today.
02 Sensor test = Not completed.
02 Sensor Heater = Not completed.
Even though I had more than 5 startup cycles. Chevy dealer said it could take over 100 miles for the car to complete all the tests normally. To help, he spelled out a drive cycle that will help the ECM set all the flags sooner.
