Default Corsa sport weight savings?

Went on my 05' 6-speed. Has anyone weighed the Corsa "sport" system compared to stock? I'm thinking it weighs quite a bit less.

I'll guess anywhere between 15 and 25 lbs. Never felt the weight of the stock exhaust.

I thought I recall reading somewhere that the Corsas actually weigh more than stock...?

Yeah....I looked around too, and saw that someone said Corsa said their Sport exhaust was 30lbs HEAVIER than stock. Forgot to copy/paste the link.

That's obviously a mistake.

My Corsa was heavy, I sold mine and when I removed it, I was blown away how much it actually weighed while removing it.

Yep....those suckas are heavy. Seems like a saw a cut-a-way view of one. To me, it looked like they took a thousand ft. long band saw blade and coiled it up inside the muffler body. Love the noise control though. I think the metal inside explains how loud it is on a cold start...and also the weight. Once whatever's inside swells after warm up, it calms down quite a bit. I get along fine with s/c, lt's, cam, and no cats. At cruise, you can hear it a little bit, but nothing objectionalbe. At WOT, it's almost as loud as straight pipes.

The sport is lighter than stock. The touring is heavier than stock.

At least on the manual trans version. I looked it up when I bought a couple of years ago.

Mufflers are same...touring vs sport. Touring just has an extra resonator in front of the muffler. I believe that's the case, but have been wrong before

Yes, same mufflers. The resonator adds weight.

I didn't have resonators on my Corsa and I was blwon away how heavy it was, not to mention it cost me $90 to ship at UPS.
